The Male Form

The male form is such an amazing work of art; it is a beautiful creation and has for centuries been perfectly carved into stone, wood and marble images.  From the Greeks and Romans to the today's artisans, the male form has been celebrated.
Perfectly carved pectorals, a protruding adams apple, softly rounded nipples, evenly crafted abdominal muscles, powerful glutes, shredded quadriceps and hamstrings, and massive gastrocnemius muscles .  Is this stereotypical idea of male perfections?
Often there are people who does not fit into the idealized version of masculinity nor has a desire to. Some are not confident in the way he looks and feels that this is a warped perception of what a person should look like. What I have learned is the importance of taking care of your body. I believe it is important that we all engage in some type of exercise and physical conditioning.  Yes, I go to the gym because I believe exercise and good nutrition helps one to maintain a healthy quality of life.  However, I also believe that we should embrace the who you are. When you come to learn love the person that you are, you will realize that you need to take care of yourself so you can be a better you. To some, it is about being a better athlete or bodybuilder, and there is nothing wrong with that.  However, to me, it is about being a better me. It is about my whole being - mentally, physically, and spiritually.  Remember, Rome was not built in a day. Take it day-by-day and step-by-step, you will see improvements in your health as well as lifestyle.

The important thing is to be all you can be, but be you.
